Tim’s interest in senior care began in 1973 at Wheaton College (IL), where his counselor recognized his desire to wed a sense of mission and purpose with his vocation and pointed him in the general direction of healthcare administration. A Chicago-area hospital administrator then opened his eyes to the tremendous future leadership opportunities that were bound to exist in the long-term care segment of healthcare because of the rapid demographic growth in seniors in our country. It didn’t take Tim long to recognize that senior care was indeed an industry in its embryonic stages and that he could make a real difference in the lives of the most important person in many people’s lives—their Moms.

Forty-three years later, that same sense of mission continues to motivate Tim’s desire to play a decisive role in refining the way seniors are cared for in our country. The mission of making a difference in the lives of Moms has indeed come home to roost in a very satisfying way—Tim’s mom is now a very satisfied resident in one of the HRA communities.

By attracting and building strong teams of others who share Tim’s dedication to serving seniors, he has enjoyed top leadership positions with some of our country’s premier senior care providers (Manor Care, PersonaCare, and Sunrise Senior Living). Tim has worked hard to intentionally shape HRA’s way of life by inculcating shared core values and realizing the potency of a healthy corporate culture in a company’s long-term success.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois.

Tim and his wife, Bobbi, have been married more than 40 years and have two beautiful and accomplished daughters. Tim, an active airplane pilot since 1994, is also an enthusiastic fan of all kinds of music.

Sarabeth brings over twenty years of Senior Living experience to her role as Chief Executive Officer. Her passion for making a difference and celebrating seniors was the driving force in her decision to make a career in senior living. Shortly after commencing her college education at Central Connecticut State University, she found fulfillment working as a Life Enrichment Director in long-term care. That led her to pursue a nursing license and enter the healthcare side of the industry.

Before joining Harbor Retirement Associates, Sarabeth worked at Senior Lifestyle Corporation for over twelve years, serving in many capacities, including Executive Director, Area Manager of Operations, Regional Director of Operations, and Vice President of Operations. As the Vice President of Operations, Sarabeth successfully oversaw the operations, sales and financial performance of over 44 communities throughout Florida, Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Alabama, Arizona, South Carolina, North Carolina, New Jersey, and Georgia. Sarabeth has the keen ability to facilitate seamless acquisitions and start-up communities while fostering a culture of servant leadership and cohesion.

Sarabeth is a licensed Assisted Living Administrator, Certified Dementia Trainer, and an active member of the Florida Chapter of ALFA.

Charlie Jennings, Chief Development Officer, discovered the Senior Housing industry after enjoying a successful career in residential development and construction. However, transforming the living environments of seniors over the last 12 years has proven to be the most fulfilling use of his abilities. Motivated in part by his military service, he is moved to care for many of the veterans and their spouses who are part of the “Greatest Generation.”

Charlie holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Infrastructure Engineering from George Mason University and is a decorated veteran of the United States Marine Corps. His diverse professional background includes developing suburban campuses, infill high-rise residential projects, and mixed-use projects.

Charlie has built his reputation with an organizational ethic dedicated to risk management, cost control, and construction oversight. He not only leads the development of new communities for HRA but also manages the renovations and refurbishment of existing communities. Charlie is dedicated to understanding the unique cognitive and physical challenges facing seniors and how improvements in building architecture, interior design, and even the correct furniture choice can enhance the lives of HRA’s residents.

Charlie has been married to his wife, Monica, for more than 20 years, and they are blessed with two wonderful children Jackson and Isabel. When not spending time with his family on the boat or watching his children play sports, he enjoys playing golf and tennis.

Chris brings over 20 years of accounting and operations management to his current role as HRA’s Chief Financial Officer. In this position, he is responsible for issuing financials, banking relationships, financial analysis, new development proformas, and investor relations. Prior to serving as CFO, Chris served as HRA’s Controller. He found himself drawn to the senior living industry because it has a true sense of purpose and creates genuine good in the world.

Prior to his time at HRA, Chris worked with large corporations and was an integral part of a start-up company from the ground floor. He has also served as a controller for a multi-location urgent care facility and a management company that oversaw 53 skilled nursing communities and five assisted living communities. Chris holds a BS in Accounting and an MS in Applied Management from the University of Maryland-UC and is a Certified Public Accountant. He also served in the United States Army with two years of active duty and seven years in the active reserves.

Chris and his wife, Lisa, have been married for over 30 years. They have two sons and one daughter. Chris enjoys playing soccer, pickleball, and watching football — when he isn’t crunching numbers!

Mark brings over 30 years of operational experience in Senior Living and Healthcare to the HRA team, including Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Hospice, and Mental Health. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Operations for a large Assisted Living division consisting of 59 communities in 11 states with a focus on Dementia Assisted Living, General Assisted Living, and Independent Living. With responsibility for over $200 million in revenue, he has a track record of success in business operations that will positively impact the entire HRA organization. He is a transformative leader who will continue to make HRA a great place to live and work.

Giving back to the community at large is paramount. He serves on the Board of Directors of BayCare Hospital-Wesley Chapel in Tampa, Florida. Mark’s industry involvement includes NCAL’s (National Centers for Assisted Living) executive committee and Delphi (Assisted Living Advisory Group). He earned a B.A. from Kent State University and has been married to his wife, Andrea, since 1993. They have two adult children and a dog named Drake.

Chef Anthony was born in the Bronx, NY, but grew up on the Treasure Coast in South Florida. He fell in love with the art of cooking while helping his grandmother cook in her home kitchen. When Anthony was 14, he received his first cooking job in an Italian restaurant in Port Saint Lucie. After working at many high-volume restaurants, he took a cross-country journey to L.A., where he received a Culinary Arts Degree from the Art Institute of Los Angeles. After culinary school, he held a Chef de Cuisine position at the world’s largest talent agency, Creative Artist Agency, where he served Hollywood’s A-listers. After several years in southern California, he made his way back to south Florida as Head Chef at the prestigious Flagler Steakhouse on Palm Beach Island. Chef Anthony later opened several of his own restaurants, including B. Merry Gastro Pub in Stuart, Mac ‘n Cheese:101, and Polito Catering Co.

With his diverse skills and experience in hospitality, Anthony found a home at HRA as an award-winning chef and Executive Director for HarborChase communities. Now, as VP of Hospitality, his passion for culinary arts, coupled with his leadership capabilities, creates an exceptional guest experience for residents and their families. Anthony and his wife, Samantha, have three young sons. His proudest accomplishment is being their father and he most enjoys spending time with his family in new adventures, including cooking with his boys.

Ginger has 25 years of strategic marketing, advertising, and public relations experience for luxury products and services. Prior to joining Harbor Retirement Associates, and most recently, she was President of a marketing firm where she developed a network of highly skilled strategists, creative talent, and brand ambassadors who managed more than 15 different industry accounts from the U.S. to the Middle East and beyond. Her marketing experience includes working both the corporate and agency sides of the business, allowing her a unique perspective when developing and executing marketing strategies. Her industry experience includes luxury private communities, architecture, aviation, broadcast news, retail, higher education, senior services, and healthcare. Ginger graduated Cum Laude with honors in Communications and Journalism from Salem College.

Family time is important for Ginger and her husband, Michael. Ginger loves traveling to new places, using her culinary skills, and spending time in beautiful North Carolina with their entire family.

Jon brings more than eight years of experience working in staffing and recruiting to the Harbor Retirement Family. He studied at Indian River State College and Florida Atlantic University, where he pursued a degree in Elementary Education.

Jon and his wife, Beth, have two children – Shea and Kylie. Between the gymnastics and art classes, Jon and his family really enjoy being outdoors. They love going to the beach, going to baseball games, exploring the Indian River Lagoon, or just lounging by the pool. He is also a big New York sports fan, supporting the Mets and Giants.

Jon has spent more than 30 years in the Vero Beach area. His family relocated from New York City to Florida in 1990 and has stayed on the Treasure Coast ever since.
